Every task in Effy lives inside a structured day: an inbox for raw ideas, a timeline of time blocks from morning to night, and a daily briefing that tells you what matters before you start. When you describe your day in plain language, Effy estimates durations, respects your existing Google Calendar events, and places each block into a realistic slot. If something runs late, smart rescheduling redistributes the remaining work across your free time instead of letting the plan collapse. Recurring commitments, breaks, and buffer time are part of the structure — so the plan you see in the morning is the plan you can actually finish.

From one prompt to an approved, exportable day

Press Plan in the planner or inside a focus room. Effy reads your prompt (and, in a room, the room chat), splits it into separate commitments, and checks your working hours, preferred focus length, tasks already on your timeline and connected Google Calendar events. You get a proposed day where every block shows its time and a reason. Nothing touches your calendar until you press Approve plan; Undo discards the proposal. After approval you can download a dark, print-ready PDF checklist, send every block to Google Calendar, or download an .ics file that Outlook and Apple Calendar open directly.

You see profiles of people with compatible goals, focus styles, and available hours — and an AI compatibility score explains why a match makes sense. Swipe through a curated daily queue, send a partner request, and once both sides accept you can message directly, share focus sessions, and keep each other accountable. Free members discover 15 profiles every 24 hours; Effy Pro removes the limit, adds the Beeline so you can see who already liked you, and lets you rewind a pass.

Quiet focus rooms that keep you at the desk

Live rooms are Effy's take on body doubling: join a quiet audio room when a focus block begins and work alongside others in real time. Rooms are mostly silent — presence is the point. A moderator keeps the space on topic, reactions let you check in without breaking concentration, and on desktop you can share your screen for an extra layer of accountability. Rooms close automatically when they go quiet, so every room you join is genuinely active. Free members can join any room; Effy Pro unlocks expanded hosting for your own rooms.

Clear voice with less bandwidth

Private focus rooms use peer-to-peer WebRTC transport. Voice is carried with the Opus codec in mono at a controlled bitrate, with noise suppression, echo cancellation, automatic gain control, packet-loss recovery and silence-aware transmission. This keeps speech clear while reducing bandwidth use. Media transport is protected by WebRTC's DTLS-SRTP connection encryption and Effy does not record audio or video; this is transport encryption, not a separate identity-verified E2EE protocol. PINs are stored only as salted hashes, while the server retains room membership and signalling data needed to operate the room.
